The best folic supplement
I am 10 weeks pregnant and was taking the Elevit pregnancy supplements from the 3 week point in my pregnancy. I started to develop pretty marked gastric side effects from the elevit supplements so was advised by my GP to choose one without iron. I searched high and low for a pregnancy vitamin with all of the key ingredients, in the safe quantities, without iron and read many positive reviews about the Evernatal supplements so gave them a try and I'm so glad I did!
I've just about finished my first Evernatal bottle of 60 tablets (30 days worth) and have ordered 2 more bottles and the magnesium supplement, all of which have arrived today. They suit me very well with no gastric side effects.
The only downside for me for a few weeks was the smell of the supplement itself. During the peak of my nausea at weeks 5-8, I sometimes struggled to swallow the vitamins due to the strong smell, but I took them with juice to disguise it abit. Now I'm at week 10, I can take them without any issues.
