Since starting the prenatal, I’ve been feeling generally well. My body feels like it is adjusting to the pregnancy, and I’ve noticed some normal early-pregnancy changes such as tender breasts, mild cramping, bloating, and a heavy feeling in my stomach at times. I haven’t noticed any major negative effects from the prenatal so far. Overall, I feel comfortable taking it and feel reassured that I’m supporting my nutritional needs during early pregnancy.
While the ingredients of this prenatal are fantastic and I like that it doesn’t have iron so you can personalise it to your needs, the smell of this prenatal is just AWFUL.
Even opening the lid of the container makes me gag and I don’t have morning sickness at the moment. I have to hold my breath and drink it with coconut water cause otherwise I’ll throw up.
If something could be done about the smell, this would be a game changer.
I have definitely noticed less constipation than a previously used prenatal. I have been fortunate not to have vomiting associated with my nausea but i often have burping episodes 5-10 minutes after taking the tablet which increases my nausea. The mint after taste at the start was quite refreshing however as my nausea got worse this has become a deterrent. I still prefer this over previously taken and will continue to take.
Best pre natal I have taken. The mint aftertaste is so good. Not a strong odour like other prenatals. I like that they are capsules. They also never make me feel unwell.
I've been taking ironbiotic for a couple of years now. It's my favourite iron supplement because it doesn't effect my bowels negatively like most others seem to. It's great at keeping my iron levels up. So I only need to take it a couple of times a week as maintenance now.
I also love the educational side of naternal vitamins. I've learnt so much from the pamphlets, emails and socials about boosting my iron. It's a winner for me.
I love that these are a natural alternative that is naturopath endorsed, but the smell and taste is horrible. It doesn't seem to be a complaint of many others so suspect my sensitivity could just be a symptom of pregnancy, but this is my 2nd pregnancy and I had to stop taking these and switch to Blackmores with my 1st. I am determined to continue taking these this time round even if the taste repeats on me.
My GP and Nutritionalist had recommend lactoferrin because although my iron was okay, my absorption was quite low. Being vegan this wasn't an option and so I did some research on what would be an effective alternative that I could also find here in Australia. I found IronBiotic and chanced it.
I noticed the effects what felt like immediately. Being plant based and vegan was the deal maker for and it most certainly does what it claims to. I genuinely feel so much better, inside and out. Highly recommend!
I love that these are a completely natural alternative. I feel safe knowing my body is getting the right fuel it needs as they were developed by a naturopath.
When I order, they are shipped within 24 hours always.
Highly recommend.
Easy to take and I seem to feel a bit more energetic since starting them. 8 months postpartum and had to ditch my old pre natal due to b6 toxicity. I appreciate the clarity avout whats in these and why.
I’ve been blessed with no pregnancy symptoms, but these tablets have been so easy to take. The film means they don’t have an off taste and the hint of mint is perfect in the breath.
I started taking Naternal Evernatal in my third trimester. The first two trimesters, I was taking a regular prenatal, and was constantly feeling sick and exhausted. Approximately six weeks in to switching supplements, I feel much more supported. People have even told me that I look much more well and seem to have a lot more energy!
Make the tablets smaller, get rid of the smell, make it so the taste doesn’t keep coming up via burps. I have pretty mild nausea, and they are almost impossible to take.
Best prenatal I’ve taken. Super easy to swallow considering how nauseous I have been during pregnancy. Also It makes me feel good knowing that by taking your prenatal, I’m doing everything I can to support my baby and give them the best start possible. It’s a little reminder that I’m already taking care of them and doing my best.
Very easy to take and doesn’t leave a weird aftertaste like some. I’ve noticed I’ve had more energy which is such a plus. Only downside is when the capsules are in the carrier, they tend to perhaps loosen and some of the magical powder leaks out. Overall great product and will continue using!
I was taking some prenatal tablets that the chemist give u but it was making me feel really down and moody, so I stopped taking them all together, I’m now 16 weeks now and started taking these prenatal tablets when I got to about 12 weeks and I’m feeling good, finally starting to feel like myself again and my baby is super healthy, I’m nearly out so going to be getting more soon
I was feeling really drained and not a lot of energy until I started taking this now I feel really good, I’ve always had really bad iron levels but when I got pregnant it just got so much worse now I’m feeling great
These have been good. I will definitely repurchase these because I can see improved results with my levels from blood tests. I would give 5 stars but the taste sometimes gets to me but overall they are great.
Iron biotic has got to be the best creation on this earth. I was low iron while pregnant and I gained a fair bit back after taking this, didn’t take long at all either. I can’t remember my status but my fertin was super low and after taking this it climbed steadily, which is unheard of being pregnant. I still take it now, 12weeks PP just to get back ontop. 11/10
Only been taking these for a week or so now, preconception.
A lot of the reviews I read mentioned the smell and taste but I thought how bad could it be? I was not prepared, even the smell just when opening the bottle is foul. I have to stop myself from dry reaching from the smell and aftertaste once it’s in my mouth. I couldn’t even imagine trying to stomach these while pregnant.
They also make the colour of my urine, fluro yellow, regardless of how hydrated I am.
I will persist with them (while blocking my nose) and see how they go but can’t imagine them being suitable once I fall pregnant which is unfortunate.
My dr laughed at me when I said I was taking these to raise my ferritin levels as she said they are not strong enough. They have been the only thing that has managed to keep my levels stable
I had very low iron before being pregnant & the Ironbiotic has helped my levels all the way through my pregnancy. I don't feel sick, bloated or get constipated like I have on previous iron supplements. Highly recommend
It was okay the first week when I was in week 9 of pregnancy. Taking 2 capsules really triggered my nausea later on and it has a strong smell. If you’re not having much nausea it’s a great option, I just found it hard to have two pills, on top of other vitamins. After a week and a half I swapped back to another prenatal that is a single pill with no flavour or smell. Worth the try though!
I am so happy I found this brand. I had been taking other brands for months, but after reading more about endometriosis and trying to conceive, I learned it is better to take vitamins separately from iron and omega supplements. I found this brand and loved it. I also have irritable bowel syndrome, so I watch my diet carefully; at first, I took them with dinner but got headaches, so I switched to taking them with breakfast and lunch. I don't drink coffee until two hours later—or I skip it altogether—and it has worked out perfectly for me.
Extremely disappointed with this product! It taste absolutely horrible and you’re burping up fish for HOURS afterwards. I dread when I need to take these. The formula needs to be adjusted it’s just too much!!!
Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
